Public Assistance Requested Following Incident at Waterloo Station

The British Transport Police (BTP) are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman connected to an incident at Waterloo Station, where a poster stand was knocked over, injuring another person. The event took place on Tuesday, February 13, around 7:40 pm.

According to reports, the suspect was involved in a disturbance while on a Jubilee line train, shouting before disembarking at Waterloo. She then proceeded towards the escalators where she dislodged a six-foot-tall poster stand. The stand fell, striking a bystander and causing an injury severe enough to require surgical intervention and a multiple-day hospital stay.

The BTP has released an image of a woman who they believe may have critical information that could aid their investigation into the assault. Officers are urging anyone who recognizes the woman or has any information regarding the incident to come forward.

Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the BTP by texting 61016, calling 0800 40 50 40, and quoting reference number 515 of February 13, 2024. For those wishing to remain anonymous, tips can also be provided through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
