One of Portsmouth’s iconic local tourist attractions has been temporarily closed today due to “unforeseen circumstances”. The HMS Warrior 1860 posted a message on their Facebook page within the last hour simply stating, “Unfortunately, HMS Warrior 1860 will be closed today due to unforeseen circumstances.” “We aim to resolve the matter as soon as possible,” they added. Some sources have wittily suggested that, due to the austerity cuts to our Armed Forces, the ironclad battleship may have been called back into active service by the Royal Navy.
