The Volvo was slammed into a light that was also damaged. Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the trapped passenger. The female was left in the care of South Central ambulance service. The young woman was taken to Southampton General hospital for treatment by ambulance. Police have recovered the deployed airbag from the crashed MG to check for traces of DNA after the drive made off from the crash vehicle leaving the trapped female passenger screaming. Witnesses to the crash have said that they saw the driver jumped out of the vehicle and ran from the scene before the arrival of emergency services, leaving the trapped woman she was crying and screaming that she could not get out of the vehicle. A near by shoppers owners described the crash as sound like a bomb exploding and he ran to help before emergency crews arrived. The car was a total mess how anyone got out of that is a miracle. Officers from Hampshire Roads Police from Totton and Police forensic accident investigators have spent the morning investigating the collision. The closure remains in place between Malmesbury road and Howard’s Grove Road to assist officers and for the damage lamp to be made safe by Scottish and Southern electric. Anyone with information or witnesses the collision is asked to contact Hampshire Police on 101. Update: The road has now been cleared and has since been reopened. https:///youtu.be/Gb72mpjnQjc
