Police have released a new CCTV image of missing 76-year-old Carolyn Groom as the search intensifies for the vulnerable woman, last seen in Northfleet on the evening of Monday, 7 April.
The image, obtained from local surveillance footage, shows Carolyn in the Darnley Road area of Gravesend at approximately 1am on Tuesday, 8 April — several hours after she was first reported missing.
Carolyn is described as being 5ft tall, with grey shoulder-length hair. She is believed to be wearing a long grey skirt, a long-sleeved black cardigan, and black ballet-style slippers.

Kent Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare, and are urging anyone who may have seen her or has information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately.
A spokesperson said: “We’re appealing to the public to check doorbell or dashcam footage in the Darnley Road area around the early hours of Tuesday morning. Any sightings or details, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us locate Carolyn safely.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 999, quoting reference 08-0299.
