Police launched murder investigation in Enfield

 

 A murder investigation has been launched in Enfield after a woman was fatally attacked at a residential address.Police were called at 7..23pm on Saturday, 28 September, to a seriously injured woman at an address on Tennyson Close in Enfield. Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found a woman in her 40s suffering stab injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. Her next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination and formal identification will take place in due course. A 28-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody. At this early stage, no other suspect is sought in connection with the death. It is understood that the deceased and the arrested man were related to each other. Detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating. Enquiries into the full circumstances of the attack continue.
