Police investigate South West London fatal stabbing

Police are investigating following a fatal stabbing in Fulham. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 12.27am on Saturday, 16 March to Gowan Avenue, junction with Munster Road SW6, following reports of a fight in progress. Officers attended. A male, believed to be aged 29, was found suffering from stab wounds. He was tended to by members of the public in the first instance, prior to police/ LAS arrival. He received further treatment from medical professionals but despite their efforts, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 12.56am. Officers are working to inform his next of kin. The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been notified. A crime scene is in place and officers are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened. At this early stage there have been no arrests. Those with information that can assist police should call 101 ref 179/16 March.
