Police Investigate Linked Double Stabbing in Harold Hill, Rule Out Gang Involvement

Police are investigating a double stabbing in Harold Hill after two men were found injured in separate locations on Monday afternoon. Officers have confirmed the incidents are believed to be connected but are not linked to gang activity.

Emergency services were first called to Coltsfoot Path at 12.48pm on April 21, following reports of an injured man. On arrival, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.

Shortly after, a second man, aged 19, was located by paramedics in Lavender Close with similar injuries. He too was transported to hospital, and his condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.

Police believe both assaults occurred inside a property on Briar Road. A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and is currently in police custody.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said:

While the motive for the incidents remains under investigation, neither is believed to be gang-related and there is no wider risk to the public.

Detectives from the East Area Command Unit are leading the investigation. As a precaution, local neighbourhood patrols have been stepped up in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
