Police continue to investigate murder of Woman in Cowley

Following the launch of a murder investigation in Cowley officers from our Major Crime Unit continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident. At around 5.11am today (17/6) officers were called to an address in Lytton Road, Cowley. On attendance, officers found a 35-year-old woman inside the property who had died. A 45-year-old man was also found with serious injuries. He has been taken to hospital where he remains at this time. Detective Superintendent Ian Hunter, head of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “We continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident and are in the early stages however at this time we believe this to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. “A scene watch is in place and members of the public will see an increased police presence whilst we carry out our enquiries. “We continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.” Anyone with information should call the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting reference 126 17/6/19 or you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
