Police arrest Sixteen Immigrants after they were found packed into two HGV at M25 Motorway Services

Officers from Surrey Road Policing team have arrested Sixteen Immigrants after they were found packed into the back of two lorry late on Tuesday evening (October 3rd). Shocked Police swopped on the two vehicles and had to call on neighbouring Kent Police for back up to transport the clandestines. A fleet of Police vans and ambulances from South East Coast ambulance attended the motorway service station just after 7pm. It is unclear if the lorry drivers who vehicles where stopped have been arrestted but they are helping Police with their investigation. Immigration Enforcement was contacted by Surrey Police, after police officers attended the incident at the Clacket Lane services on the M25 and the matter is now being dealt with them. It is understood that the suspected migrants had used duvets and sleeping bags to keep warm when in back of lorries. Previously, In November 2015, 18 suspected illegal immigrants were arrested by Surrey Police after they were seen fleeing a lorry parked on the hard shoulder of the M25 and a further discovery of 14 adults and one child were discovered by officers back in October 2016 A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: We were called at about 7.20pm to reports of a group of people in the back of two lorries. We assessed those found some with minor ailments.
