Police Are Seeking The Public's Assistance After A Motorcyclist Was Injured In A Hit-and-run Collision

The accident happened around 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th, at the intersection of Queen’s Road East and Tattershall Drive in Beeston.

A car cut in front of the motorcyclist, causing a collision. The driver of the car, which appears to be a dark-colored Audi A4, then failed to come to a complete stop.

The motorcyclist, a man in his twenties, was taken to the hospital with a hand injury that could necessitate surgery.

“Although this collision was captured on the motorcyclist’s helmet camera, we have not been able to identify the car involved,” said PC Steven Allcock, who is investigating the collision.

“As a result, we’re looking for anyone who may have captured the car on dash cam footage.

“Fortunately, the victim in this case was not seriously injured, but he was clearly shaken by what had occurred.

“We would like to speak with the driver of the car and would like to encourage him to come forward.”

Anyone with information that can help the investigation is asked to call 101 and reference 23*28701.
