Police Are Seeking Information Following A Suspicious Incident Involving A Child
At 8.45 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a man approaching an
11-year-old girl near the intersection of Sandon Mount and Sandon View in
Hunslet.
The incident happened around 08.40am. The girl fled and alerted nearby
adults, while the man fled in a black car.
He was described as having mixed race hair and a black beard.
“We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this
incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw a man
matching the description in the area,” said Detective Inspector Mark Tester
of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit.
We understand that an incident of this nature will cause understandable
concern in the community, and we are collaborating with our colleagues on
the local neighbourhood policing team, who are maintaining an increased
presence in the area to reassure people.”

Police also received a report of a similar incident in the Seacroft area
this morning, but after further investigation, this has been confirmed as a
false report.
