West Midlands Police have launched an appeal to identify a man in connection with a theft incident involving making off without payment from a business in Saltley, Birmingham.

The incident occurred on 18 February 2025, when a man allegedly failed to pay a local business for work completed on his car. Officers have confirmed that this is not the first time the man has been linked to such offences — a similar incident was reported last year.

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the ongoing investigation and are urging the public to come forward with any information.

“We’re keen to speak to the man in this image as we believe he may be able to assist with our enquiries,” said a spokesperson for West Midlands Police.
