Police Appeal for witnesses to fatal collision in Kingston

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Kingston. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at approximately 04:00hrs on Thursday, 5 April to reports of a car in collision with a wall, on Lord Chancellor Walk in Kingston. Officers attended. The driver of the vehicle, a black Vauxhall Corsa, and the passenger were taken to a south London hospital. The driver, aged 20, died on Thursday, 12 April, in hospital. Formal identification has taken place and next of kin are aware. The passenger in the vehicle suffered non life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged. It is believed the driver of the Corsa lost control before colliding with the wall. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Merton on 020 8543 5157 or call 101 quoting CAD 877/5April.
