Pedestrian seriously injured in Medway collision

Detectives investigating a collision in which a pedestrian was seriously injured in Medway are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The incident happened on the south-bound carriageway of Hoath Way, Gillingham, shortly after 3.20pm on Friday 15 February 2019. A 41-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after being involved in a collision with a blue Toyota Yaris at the pedestrian crossing near Bowaters Roundabout. He was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference DB/DC/027/19.
