The area around the property was quickly cordoned off, and an RV point was established near Bromley shopping centre to manage the operation.

Hazardous Area response teams from the London Ambulance Service, units from the London Fire Brigade, scientific advisors, and explosive officers from the Metropolitan Police swiftly converged on the scene.

The specifics of the situation, including the age of the child involved or whether the baby has been born, remain unclear. Authorities are being tight-lipped about the details as they investigate the premises.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “We take all reports of potential threats to public safety very seriously. We are working closely with our partners in the emergency services to assess the situation and ensure the safety of the public.”
The road affected by the incident has been cordoned off with Polie at both ends of the road and specialist sniffers at the property.
