A man in his 40s has been found dead at a residence in Helsinki Square, Rotherhithe, southeast London. The discovery was made around 10:15 a.m. yesterday (October 1), prompting an immediate response from police officers and London Ambulance Service crews. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, and authorities are treating the death as “unexpected” but do not currently suspect any foul play. The Metropolitan Police Service stated:
“Police were contacted by London Ambulance Service at approximately 10:15hrs on Tuesday, 1 October to reports of a man, believed aged in his 40s, who had been found deceased at an address in Helsinki Square, SE16. His next of kin have been informed. The death is being treated as unexpected/unexplained but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.”
An investigation is ongoing, though there are no indications of suspicious activity. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
