Man charged with burglaries near Canterbury – UKNIP

A suspected burglar has been charged with multiple offences following break-ins in villages near Canterbury.

Kent Police’s Crime Squad investigated a series of burglaries in Petham and the surrounding villages at the end of 2023 and the start of 2024.

Enquiries led to Jamie Slingsby being arrested on the evening of Tuesday 9 January.

The 44-year-old has since been charged with five counts of burglary between Thursday 21 December 2023 and Wednesday 3 January 2024.

Mr Slingsby, who is of no fixed address, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 11 January.
