Man charged with attempted Murder following Gravesend collision

As previously reported Police have now charged a man. Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged a man with attempted murder after a woman was seriously assaulted in Gravesend. Officers were called to an initial report that a woman had been involved in a collision with a car in Dering Road at 10.07am, on Sunday 13 May. Following the incident, Patrick Molloy was identified as a suspect and detained on suspicion of attempted murder. The 28-year-old, of Springhead Road in Northfleet, has been charged with: · Attempted murder, · Driving a motor vehicle without a licence, · Using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, · Failing to provide a specimen for analysis, · Criminal damage. The victim, who is known to Molloy, was taken to a London hospital for treatment and her injuries are not life threatening. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 May.
