Man Arrested in Connection with Assault Following Death in Edinburgh
Police Appeal for Witnesses: Serious Assault in Lea Marston

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault that led to the death of a 53-year-old man in Edinburgh. The incident occurred on Friday, June 7, at a property on Westfield Road.

Officers responded to a call around 12:55 BST after concerns were raised about the well-being of a man within the property. Tragically, the 53-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Detective Inspector David McAlinden stated that investigations are ongoing, but authorities are treating this as a contained incident. Westfield Road has been temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
