Man Arrested Following Assault at Swindon Bus Station
Man Charged with Attempted Abduction of Toddler in Dublin

Wiltshire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm following a serious assault at Swindon bus station yesterday evening.

At approximately 11:50 PM on 18 July, officers responded to reports of a violent incident at the Swindon bus station. A man in his 40s was repeatedly struck over the head with an item, resulting in injuries that required hospital treatment. Fortunately, he has since been discharged from the hospital.

A man, also in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the assault and is currently in police custody.

Police scenes remain in place at the bus station and on Western Street, Old Town, as officers continue their investigations.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is urged to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting log 392 of 18 July.
