M2 Londonbound closed after vehicle rollover – UKNIP

The M2 motorway in Kent is currently closed westbound between Junction 3 (Blue Bell Hill) and Junction 2 near Rochester due to a collision that has resulted in an overturned Mercedes-BenzC Class car rolling.

Emergency services, including National Highways Traffic Officers, are on the scene to respond to the incident.

Drivers are advised to follow the solid square diversion symbol on road signs to navigate around the closure. The diversion route is as follows: Leave the M2 westbound at Junction 3 and join the A229 southbound towards Maidstone. Continue on the A229 southbound until reaching Junction 6 of the M20, then join the M20 westbound. Stay on the M20 until Junction 4, where you should exit. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A228 northbound. Follow the A228 northbound back to Junction 2 of the M2, and rejoin the motorway westbound to continue your journey.

If this closure affects your planned route, it is advisable to allow extra journey time. Consider planning ahead and exploring alternative routes or delaying your journey if possible.
