Kent Fire Crews Called to the Port of Dover Following Chemical Incident

Firefighters have been dealing with a spillage of a corrosive liquid form a lorry at the Port of Dover this morning. They were called to Eastern Docks around 7am. Fire crews stopped the leak, isolated the lorry and made the scene and the area safe. A spokesperson for Kent fire Said”” Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently at Eastern Docks, Dover, dealing with the spillage of a corrosive liquid from a lorry. Two fire engines, support vehicles and hazardous material officers are in attendance, who have been working closely with the Port of Dover. Crews have stopped the leak, isolated the lorry and made the scene safe. There is no disruption to service at the port. “
