Israeli Military Raid In Tulkarem Refugee Camp Leaves Two Palestinians Dead

In a tragic turn of events, two Palestinians lost their lives during an Israeli military raid on a refugee camp located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarem. Health officials have confirmed the casualties, identifying the victims as Asid Abu Ali, 21, and Abdulrahman Abu Daghash, 32.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli military’s incursion into the Nour Shams refugee camp resulted in heavy damage to camp infrastructure, causing significant distress among residents.

The Israeli military stated that the operation was intended to target what they described as a “militant command centre and bomb-storage facility” located within a building in the camp. During the operation, engineering units detonated several explosive devices planted beneath roads, while armed Palestinian fighters engaged the Israeli troops, firing upon them and hurling explosives. In response, Israeli forces used live fire.

This unfortunate incident follows a similar tragedy earlier this month when 21-year-old Ayed Samih Khaled Abu Harb was fatally shot in the head by Israeli forces during another raid on the Nour Shams refugee camp.

The Israeli military has been conducting intensified military raids primarily in the northern region of the occupied West Bank for the past 18 months, citing the goal of dismantling Palestinian resistance groups and preventing future attacks.
