Hampshire School placed on lockdown over Air ambulance

A Hampshire school has been “placed on lockdown” for the safety of children inside, on the first day back from the Easter holidays. Denmead Junior School in Hampshire has attracted the attention of worried parents and public after witnesses saw the Air ambulance and other emergency services rushing to the school. Denmead Junior School have confirmed it went into “lockdown” this afternoon following Emergency Services requiring the use of its field area to deal with an “Incident” close by, but have insisted that all children inside are safe and as a precaution used the pre-rehearsed lockdown mode to ensure the safety was maintained during the incident. It is understood that the incident is now over and the school have resumed normal activities.
