Tragic news has emerged of a fatal collision on the N12 in Co Monaghan on Saturday morning. A man in his 50s has lost his life following a collision involving two cars near Knockaconny at around 11.15 IST.
The driver and sole occupant of one of the cars died at the scene.
Two people from the other car involved were also taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to come forward
