Four individuals have been taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation into a stabbing incident that occurred in Stoke-on-Trent. The incident unfolded on Kildare Street in Longton, approximately at 1.25am on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023.
The victim, a man in his 60s, sustained multiple stab wounds during the incident. Prompt medical attention was provided by paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service, who swiftly arrived at the scene. Following initial treatment, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving medical care.
In connection with the incident Police have arrested a 56-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both of whom are residents of Stoke-on-Trent. They have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
Additionally, two juveniles, a 14-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl, also hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, were taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
While the investigation is still ongoing, all four individuals have been released on conditional police bail. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses pertinent CCTV, dash-cam, or doorbell footage from the vicinity at the time of the incident to come forward.
