The accusations came from women who accused him of predatory and unwanted sexual behaviour, with some incidents allegedly happening when they were under 18.

Mr Westwood has denied these allegations.

The BBC launched an external inquiry last August to investigate Westwood’s conduct during his 20-year tenure there, and this investigation is ongoing.
