An Isle of Wight man who has been charged with the murder of ex-Isle of Wight Councillor Gerry White was denied bail after making an application before a Judge at Winchester Crown Court today (Monday). Sixty-year-old Jonathan Stasiuk, of Pier Street, Sandown, was refused bailed and remanded in custody to Winchester Prison until a pre-trial review on August 12 at the same court. No plea was entered during the short hearing. The court heard that Gerry Whites body was found in woodland at the rear of Lake Community Gardens in Lake on the Isle of Wight last Monday.
