Firefighters Battle Blaze in Azov Following Drone Strike

In the early hours of today, the Russian town of Azov witnessed a significant emergency response as dozens of firefighters were deployed to contain a fire resulting from a drone strike. The incident occurred in the southern Rostov region, which shares a border with Ukraine.

Officials reported that several oil storage tanks caught fire due to the attack, leading to a substantial blaze that engulfed an area of 5,000 cubic meters. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia communicated via Telegram about the extent of the fire and the ongoing efforts to manage the situation.

Governor Vasily Golubev of the Rostov region also took to Telegram to inform that, based on preliminary data, there have been no casualties. However, these reports are pending verification.

This event follows another incident in the same region where a suspected Ukrainian attack is believed to have caused a large explosion at an electricity substation during the previous night. If these reports are confirmed, it would mark the second day in a row that the Rostov region has been subjected to strikes.
