Fire crews called to Car Roll over in Colwell on the Isle of Wight

Emergency Crews from the Isle of Wight attended collision in early hours of this morning (Monday). Eight people were injured as a result of the crash after a car crashed and came to rest onto its roof in Colwell in the West Wight. Two Fire crews from Newport and third retained crew from Freshwater were called to the scene on at the junction of Norton Green and Colwell Road just after 2.30am Firefighters made the scene safe and used cutting equipment to free those trapped in the vehicle. Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to treated eight people in total. One person was taken stablished at the scene and taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, others people were treated at the scene but did not require hospital treatment. Police contractors recovered the vehicles.
