Sussex Police are calling on the public for assistance following a tragic incident in Hastings that resulted in the death of a 65-year-old pedestrian. The collision, which involved a motorcycle, occurred near The Bridge Community Centre on Priory Road at approximately 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 5.
The victim, a local man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified of the unfortunate event. In the immediate aftermath, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. However, he has since been released without charge and will face no further actions related to this incident.
In an effort to gather more information and possibly locate witnesses, police have released an image of the motorbike involved. They are especially keen to identify and speak with the motorcyclist who may be able to provide crucial details about the collision. Authorities are also interested in any dashcam footage from drivers who were in the vicinity of Priory Road at the time of the accident.
