The family of Allan Bryant, who mysteriously disappeared a decade ago, is still in search of answers and longing for closure. Allan was last captured on CCTV leaving the Styx nightclub, a short distance from his Glenrothes home, during a night out with friends in 2013. Despite extensive efforts and a decade passing, no trace of him has been found.
While officially classified as a missing person, Allan’s family harbours concerns that he may have come to harm. In an enduring fight to keep his case in the public eye, they remain determined to shed light on his disappearance, even after ten years.
At the time of his vanishing, Allan was described as 5ft 6ins tall, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and distinctive tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a Voi t-shirt with navy, grey, and white bands, dark denim jeans, and grey leather plimsolls.
In a heartfelt statement, Allan’s mother, Marie Degan, said, “The past 10 years have been a living hell. We are still trying to find out what happened to our dear son Allan. We want to bring him home and will never give up until he is found. We know in our hearts that Allan is no longer with us, and that is so hard to deal with. What is worse is that we do not know what happened to him. All we want is to know the truth and get Allan home.”
Allan’s father, Allan Bryant, added, “Ten years ago today, my son Allan went missing, ten years of heartache and pain, not knowing what happened or where his remains lie. My family has been through so much the last 10 years, watching the police divers search ponds, rivers, wells, quarries, woodland, and so many other places.
Detective Inspector Scott Roxburgh, the senior investigating officer, expressed his commitment to finding Allan. He urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that even the smallest detail could be of great significance in the investigation.
The Bryant family is encouraging anyone with information to contact the police on 101 or via email at [email protected]. Anonymous tips can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or via text to the charity Missing People at 116 000.
The family’s relentless determination serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing pain and uncertainty endured by families of missing persons. As the investigation into Allan’s disappearance continues, there is hope that one day the answers they seek will come to light, bringing closure to their lives.
