Emergency services called to Ventnor seafront

Emergency services have this evening been called to Ventnor seafront following a call from a member of public in respect of a missing person. Police from Hampshire Constabulary and a Coast Guard search and rescue team from Ventnor have been mobilised to the Spyglass Inn just after 8.15pm on Wednesday evening. Despite a hoax call earlier this week police on are treating the missing person has genuine after a pensioner has gone missing.m Who suffers from dementia Six police vehicles and the coastguard rescue vehicle have all been called to the incident. Update:8.40pm Following a short search by police officers have found woman who is understood to be visiting area. She has been found safe and well and all search teams have been stood down from the incident
