Emergency services called to crash in St Helens

Emergency services have been called to a serious collision on Carpenters Road in St Helen’s Police and fire crews were called just before 10pm on Friday evening. The road is currently blocked in both directions following the collision on the bend near to Oasis. Officers from Hampshire Constablary have put in hard road closures. Two appliances from Ryde fire station have been sent to the incident. The collision involves two vehicles one person has been freed by from a vehicle by the Isle of Wight fire and rescue service. The female has been treated by paramedics at the scene and has been transported to St Mary’s hospital in Newport. More to follow
