Drug Dealing Doesn’t Pay as Pair Jailed for a total of 7 1/2 years following raids

Two drug dealers have been jailed after officers executed a drugs warrant. Tai Diedrick, 19 and Shaquille Boreland, 22, both of Parry Road, South Norwood, were each jailed at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday 18 May 2018. Diedrick was jailed for four years and one month while Boreland was jailed for three years and five months after they both pleaded guilty to two charges each of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent to supply. The court heard how on Monday 10 April 2017 officers executed a drugs warrant at around 7.20am at their London home. Inside a bedroom at the address officers found Diedrick and Boreland along with a quantity of cocaine and heroin. They also found a plastic carrier bag which had been thrown from a bedroom window. The value of these drugs were estimated to be around £28,000 and Diedrick’s finger marks were located on one of the bags. Other drugs which were also discarded outside the bedroom window were forensically linked to Boreland by his DNA. Officers arrested both men on suspicion of drug offences and they were subsequently charged with drug offences. Investigating officer Detective Constable Daniel Bister said: ‘Kent Police works hard to bring drug dealers to justice and I’m pleased we’ve been able to get two more dealers off the streets. They were found with a large amount of drugs which would have been sold to a lot of vulnerable people. ‘I hope these sentences act as a reminder to others that crime does not pay.’
