A violent altercation on Plumstead High Street near Bostall Hill last night resulted in two people being hospitalised with stab wounds and six arrests. The incident, which occurred at approximately 10:00 PM on July 20, prompted an immediate response from Metropolitan Police and emergency medical teams.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals suffering from injuries sustained in the stabbing. Both were treated at the scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and thankfully, their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson provided details of the event, stating, “On Saturday, 20 July at 22:00hrs, police were called to Plumstead High Street, SE18 following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated two people for stab wounds. Their injuries were all confirmed to be non-life threatening.”
The incident led to the arrest of six individuals on suspicion of various offences, including affray. The police have confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
