Detectives Investigating A Man’s Death Have Appealed For Witnesses To Come Forward

Police were called to Church Street in Mansfield shortly before 3.30 a.m. on Friday after a man was discovered collapsed in the street. The man, who was in his 30s, died later in the hospital. Officers do not believe his death was suspicious, but they would like to speak with potential witnesses, specifically two taxi drivers who may have interacted with him. The man was dressed in grey tracksuit pants and a black jacket. We are working to understand the full circumstances of this very sad incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw this man in the moments before this incident,” said Detective Sergeant Matt Scott of Nottinghamshire Police. “While we do not suspect his death, we are eager to learn as much as we can about this man’s movements prior to his collapse.” Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and reference incident 55 of January 13, 2023.
