Detectives Are Investigating After Three Men Suffered Stab Wounds Following An Altercation In The City Centre

Officers were called to an initial report of a man being assaulted in Hounds Gate at 3.25am today (Monday 1 May 2023).

Following inquiries, two other men were found with injuries.

None of the injuries are currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

Officers are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry to establish the full circumstances of the incident, including trawling through CCTV footage.

Two men, aged 20 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and a 27-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Detective Inspector Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working hard to understand the circumstances relating to this incident and as part of those live inquiries we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or has any information which could help us with our investigation.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have recorded dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage which may assist us.

“This incident is isolated and is not being linked to our current murder investigation which remains ongoing.

“I’d like to reassure people that the force treats all reports of weapon-enabled crime and violence with the utmost seriousness, and we will take robust action against those involved in criminality of this nature.”
