A man was arrested after a white MG HS and a grey Vauxhall Corsa were involved in a collision close to the Medway Tunnel. The incident happened at around 3.45pm on Thursday 1 February 2024, at a location in Pier Road, near to the police station.

It is reported the actions of the MG driver initially caused a man at the wheel of the Vauxhall to swerve towards a road barrier. The suspect is said to have then manoeuvred his car in front of the victim before deliberately coming to a sudden stop, causing the Vauxhall to collide into the rear of the MG.

Police attended and a 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and causing criminal damage. He is currently bailed, pending further enquiries, until 30 April.
