Boy Stabbed Near Brixton School, Attacker Still at Large
Boost Security Measures as Eastbourne Faces Uptick in Burglaries

A 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed near a school in Brixton. Emergency services responded to Loughborough Park at approximately 4:25 pm on Tuesday, February 27, following reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, paramedics found the teenager who had sustained injuries from the attack. He was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

The incident occurred on the same street where Evelyn Grace Academy is located. However, there is no indication at this time that the attack is linked to the school in any way.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the stabbing. According to a police spokesperson, officers were called to Loughborough Park in Brixton following reports of the incident. The 17-year-old victim was subsequently taken to the hospital by paramedics.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with their inquiries. Witnesses are encouraged to contact 101, quoting CAD 5109/27Feb.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed their response to the scene, stating that they were alerted to the stabbing at 4:23 pm. Multiple resources, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and London’s Air Ambulance, were dispatched to provide medical assistance. The patient was treated at the scene before being transported to a London major trauma centre.

This latest knife crime investigation comes in the wake of another tragic incident in South Harrow, North West London. On Monday afternoon, February 26, Robert Weston, 37, was fatally stabbed on Hamilton Crescent. Despite efforts from both police and paramedics, Weston succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A murder investigation has been launched in connection with his death.

The perpetrator of the Brixton stabbing remains at large as the investigation continues.
