Armed officers from the Metropolitan Police and British Transport Police have been deployed to Seven Sisters Underground Station in Tottenham following reports of a man seen with a firearm.
The incident was reported earlier today at the High Road in Tottenham North London location of the busy transport hub. A firearms incident was officially declared, and multiple armed response units were immediately dispatched to the scene following reports by staff.
Station Placed on Lockdown
Eyewitnesses report a heavy police presence around the station, with parts of the area cordoned off and commuters being evacuated. London Underground services through Seven Sisters may be disrupted as officers carry out thorough searches and investigations.
Transport for London has yet to confirm the extent of service disruption, but travelers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
