A Teenager Has Been Arrested For A Terrorism Offence, As Part Of An Ongoing Investigation By The Met's Counter Terrorism Command
 

An 18-year-old man was arrested at an address in west London this morning on suspicion of encouraging terrorism (contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006).

He was detained under PACE, and is currently in custody at a London police station.

Police have said that a PACE search warrant is being conducted at the address and the investigation relates to suspected extreme Islamist material, allegedly being shared online.
