A Police Community Support Officer has assisted investigators to identify a suspect for a robbery in Maidstone – UKNIP

 

 

At around 5.45pm on Tuesday 13 October 2020, a woman in her 50s was in Jubilee Square when it is reported that she was assaulted.

 

The victim fell to the floor and it is alleged her shopping bags and contents, including cash and a mobile phone, were stolen.

 

One of the town’s PCSOs viewed CCTV footage from Jubilee Square and later passed details of a suspect to investigators.

 

The following day 46-year-old  Vanessa Hamilton was arrested at her home address. Officers also seized a small amount of crack cocaine.

 

Ms Hamilton, of Farleigh Lane, Maidstone was later charged with robbery and possession of a Class A drug.

 

She was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15 October.
