A man has been charged after officers were injured as they executed a drugs warrant in Barnet.

Armando Gjyla, 32  of Southgate has been charged with throwing corrosive fluid with intent to maim / disfigure / disable / do grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to supply class B drugs.

He is due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 14 October.

This follows a drugs warrant carried out by officers in Dale Close, Barnet on Wednesday, 23 September.

Another man –aged 21 – who was arrested remains in hospital receiving treatment.
