In a tragic incident that unfolded on Thursday, November 9, 2023, Greater Manchester Police responded to a distress call regarding an unconscious man found on Abbey Hills Road in Oldham. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man, identified as 45-year-old Vincent McDonagh, succumbed to his serious head injury shortly after the authorities arrived.

Demi, Vincent’s partner and fiancé, has lovingly paid tribute to him, describing him as an incredible fiancé, a devoted family man, and a loving father. She expressed that Vincent’s kindness and willingness to help others knew no bounds, and he always went the extra mile without hesitation.

Vincent adored his young son, ensuring he had everything he needed and showering him with affection. He had a deep passion for music, often serenading Demi and their little boy. Vincent’s sense of humour and vibrant personality made him the life of the party, always keeping those around him entertained.

Hailing from a large family in Ireland, Vincent was one of six brothers and seven sisters. He cherished the memories of their shared experiences and held a special place in his heart for his father, Barney.

The void left by Vincent’s untimely demise has left Demi and their loved ones utterly devastated. They struggle to comprehend the senseless act that took him away from them. Demi expressed her profound grief, sharing that hearing Vincent’s cherished words of love, “we loved each other to the moon and stars,” will forever remain a memory she holds dear.

During this difficult time, the family kindly requests privacy as they navigate their grief and mourn the loss of Vincent.
