Man charged with knife offence after dramatic incident in Andover

A man who was arrested after quick thinking door staff spotted Hamza Hashi, from East London, with a knife in his waistband has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place The charges follow after the man walked into a pub in Andover with a knife in his back pocket he was restrained by security on Friday evening. Police were called to the John Russell Fox in the town at 10.50pm In Friday. Hamza Hashi, 18, of Wallwood Street, East London, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place and possession of drugs A spokesman for Hampshire constabulary said: “A man has been charged in connection with an incident at the John Russell Fox pub in Andover. “We were called to the pub at 10.50pm on Friday where it is alleged a man entered the premises with a knife in his back pocket. Hamza Hashi, 18, of Wallwood Street, East London, was charged with possession of a knife in a public place, and possession of a class B drug.
