Claire Button Found Guilty
Claire Button, 36, was convicted of murdering her five-year-old son Lincoln at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday 16 October. Despite denying the charge, a jury found her guilty. The following day, she was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of nine years behind bars.
Tragic Incident in South Ockendon
Emergency services rushed to Windstar Drive, South Ockendon, on the afternoon of Sunday 15 December 2024. Concerns had been raised over the welfare of Claire and Lincoln. Sadly, paramedics were unable to save Lincoln, who died at the scene. Claire was hospitalised and later arrested, appearing in court in April.
