LOST EVERYTHING Crayford mum and four children left homeless after devastating fire
Crayford mum and four children left homeless after devastating fire

A single mother and her four children have been left homeless after a devastating fire destroyed their flat in Crayford on Monday night.

The blaze, believed to have started from a tumble dryer, ripped through the family’s home near Crayford Town Hall, destroying almost all of their belongings.

While the mother and children escaped with their lives, the family is heartbroken after their beloved cat tragically died in the fire.

A close friend, Lottie Packer, has since launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help the family begin rebuilding their lives.

Lottie wrote on the fundraising page:

“In a matter of minutes, she lost  everything—her belongings, her children’s clothes, toys, and the place they called home. They only have the clothing they are wearing. As a single mother, her first concern is making sure her children have a roof over their heads, clothes to wear, food to eat, and eventually the comfort of a stable home again.”

So far, just £1,680 has been raised towards the £2,000 target, with donations starting to come in from members of the local community.

The fundraiser hopes to cover basic essentials such as clothes, food, and school supplies for the children, as well as help the family secure new accommodation.
