Man arrested following attempted child abduction

Following an incident in Ashton Keynes on Saturday (8 July 2017) where a nine-year-old girl was grabbed by a man in the Park Place area of the village, officers have now arrested a 24-year-old local man on suspicion of attempted kidnapping. He is currently in custody. Police enquiries are continuing and we are still appealing for witnesses to come forward; if anyone heard or saw anything suspicious in the Park Place area of Ashton Keynes around midday on Saturday, please contact police on 101.
