Daniel Mills, 38, was convicted of a number of driving offences just two days after leading officers on an 18-minute chase through Medway and Walderslade.

Rammed in the opposite direction
Patrolling officers spotted an uninsured Ford Transit and began pursuing it around 9.54 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Several times during the chase, the suspect slammed on the brakes in an attempt to reverse-ram the police car.

Kent Police used a stinger device to stop the vehicle on a grass verge in Capstone Road.

Mills, of Meadside Walk, Chatham, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance the next day. In addition, he was charged with failure to stop.

Mills appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, and pleaded guilty. He will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.
